Manchester United: The Return of A Legend

Patrice Evra said he was negotiating to return to work at Old Trafford after years of separation. Earlier, Patrice Evra harshly criticized Arsenal’s poor performance after losing to Sheffield United and hinted at the return.

The former French player said he was in talks but had not revealed his upcoming job. Evra has just retired and he is likely to take on a role in the leadership of Old Trafford. According to Metro, the former defender will become the sports director of MU. He said he was working with the Manchester United coaching staff but there was no official agreement yet. Everyone was happy to see him back here.

Evra had 8 years with Man Utd from 2006 to 2014. At Old Trafford, the player born in 1981 came 379 times, scoring 10 goals. Thus, he helped MU conquer many major titles, including 5 Premier League titles, 1 Champions League. After leaving MU, Evra plays for Juventus, Marseille and the nearest West Ham Utd. Age does not allow the French defender to continue playing at the peak. He decided to retire in the summer of 2019 after a long time without finding a new stop.

Evra is currently the assistant coach for the U18 Man United team. The former France star is still attending a training course to get the UEFA coach’s degree and is accepted by the Old Trafford team as an intern.

Earlier, Arsenal had to accept a disappointing 0-1 defeat on the pitch of Sheffield United. And Evra made deep, sarcastic remarks towards the team. He thinks that Sheffield deserves to win. And he was not surprised that Arsenal lost the game. He called them ‘boys’ 10 years ago and now his feeling with the current squad is not much different.

After joining Man United from Arsenal exactly 1 month, Robin Van Persie also had to agree with him and admit this. Nothing has changed between Arsene Wenger and Arsenal at the moment.
